In many cases, what they say is true – black don’t crack. I can’t count how many times I’ve been mistaken for a teenager. But let’s just say I’m old enough to wish I was sixteen again. However, this is not stopping me from getting my anti-aging skin serum treatments on. In fact, during your mid to late twenties is when you should begin anti-aging treatments. Most assume that they should begin treatments when they actually notice signs of aging but being proactive about the matter can reduce signs of aging earlier.
I don’t have bad skin. Some might say I look like I drink from the fountain of youth. But recently I’ve been unhappy with its dullness and my heavy dark circles. So I started a routine: Valentia Even Glow Serum* layered underneath my moisturizer, Estēe Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Serum used AM and PM underneath RéVive Moisturizing Renewal Cream, and Estēe Lauder Advanced Night Repair at night.
Since using Valentia’s Even Glow Serum I’ve noticed my skin have a more radiant glow these past two weeks due it’s Vitamin C properties. My skin gets extremely pale during the winter months and I am hoping with continued use, this serum will give me a little color in addition to plump skin.
The antioxidant treatment brightens, protects (from the crappy NYC environment), and evens skin tone (one of main concerns) while reducing the appearance of aging. It’s loaded with natural ingredients like rosehip seed oil, pink grapefruit essential oil, Japanese green tea, and seabuckthorn oil. These oils help promote hydration and aid in giving that natural glow. The texture is light and absorbs easily and smells like a field of citrus fruits.
On the downside, I have noticed a few breakouts that I normally don’t have. It could be a combination of using several different new products at once so I am not sure which product to attribute this to. I will continue to use this product and see its effects over time.
