The biggest debate you can find me having on a Saturday morning is: where to brunch? The conundrum I’ve encountered recently is that it’s hard to find a decent priced brunch with unlimited drinks and a solid menu that’s actually good. NYC is home to brunch – it’s practically a sport here. But finding a spot that is an overall champion under $30/person is a feat. However, The Grange is up for the challenge.
The Grange is an extremely short walk from my apartment, making boozy brunch just that more enticing. I’ve passed by several times but finally decided to give it a try.
On the menu, you’ll find huevos rancheros, lobster claw, a country breakfast, and fried chicken biscuits. Pair any brunch entree with unlimited mimosas, bellinis, or bloody Mary’s for $30. Since Harlem is the new it-girl of the food scene, this price is a major score, considering one brunch cocktail a la carte is the same price. For the second time ever I ordered bellinis over mimosas. The Grange has the best I’ve ever tasted as they aren’t overly peach-y and sweet.
Enough about the cocktails, the food is actually amazing. The breakfast burger, not mentioned above, is another solid choice and an upgrade from your standard burger option most restaurants serve for brunch. The patty comes between an English muffin, but don’t let that scare you – it’s packed with eggs, bacon, and everyone’s favorite – sriracha! (Insert Salsa dancing emjoi)
Inevitably my southern roots led me to order the fried chicken biscuit. I was not disappointed. The biscuit was equally as big as the breakfast burger and the espresso infused chicken gravy completed the goodness.
The best bang for my buck i’ve had in a while. Definitely a must when in Harlem.
