I’ve been on a health kick lately, not only to loose weight but to maintain good health and get back in shape, so of course I’m happy that athleisure can be worn from the gym to brunch. I partnered with True Life Fitness to test out their new line of workout leggings and I have to say I am in love!
My day started out with warm up stretches at my neighborhood park in Harlem. Shortly after I headed downtown to attend a ConBody Bootcamp workout session. Intense is an understatement of how hard the training is. ConBody is a prison style bootcamp that only trains using your own bodyweight. But True Life’s Katie Leggings definitely held up during my blood, sweat, and more sweat.
The Katie full length leggings is a combination of lycra and spandex fabric which offers great support and coverage perfect for your every move. Perfect for running, yoga, biking or just hitting the gym.
- Material feels like a second skin with a smooth and cool feeling against your legs
- These high performance tights keep their shape during any activity
- Zipper back pocket is perfect to stash your credit card and key safely
About mid-way through the workout, I noticed how moisture-wicking the leggings were and how comfortable I still felt despite the extreme session. And I loooooove that they are slightly high waisted, an important function for yoga and workouts that incorporate lots of cardio.
True Life Fitness also supports getting girls involved in sports by donating $2 from every item purchased to Women Win.
But after all that sweating, my heart was set on brunch. I perused the neighborhood and eventually settled on trying out Sweet Chick. Ok, so I felt a little bad that I had just killed it in the bootcamp and then ate shrimp and grits, but you gotta live a little!
The Katie leggings retail for $24.95. True Life Fitness apparel is available via their site, www.truelifefitnessapparel.com, and Amazon. Follow TLF on Instagram and don’t forget to hashtag #truelifefitnessapparel!
