Fall and winter capes for women under $100

Nothing like the cold weather to make you want to bundle up and stay indoors. But that’s just unrealistic. As much as I would like to be roasting by the fireplace, I actually do have to mingle in the real world for the forthcoming months despite freezing temps. My latest piece I love are capes! When I was younger I never envisioned myself wearing capes. No shade, but I thought they were only fashionable for older ladies to wear but boy was I wrong.
Capes are such an easy piece to just throw on and go. It’s bad enough I have to leave my cozy bed. So when I do, I want functional but chic pieces that are easy to layer and make me feel put together – and capes are just that. They spruce up an all-black-everything look and add pizzaz to your bundles of layers. For the height impaired, I recommend wearing a heeled boot to really make your cape flattering.
The cape is the star of the show, but a few accessories won’t hurt. My go-to’s for this type of look are big hoops, a dark lip, suede booties, and a fall-hued bag. What’s your go-to for fall?
