This year has and continues to fly by. But I love this time of year. It’s a time to refresh and reflect while preparing for the New Year. Everything seems magical, you get to finally wear those cute over-the-knee boots you’ve been storing away for months, and most importantly you get to spend quality time with friends and family over delicious feasts and crisp wine.
I’m no chef, so my loved ones know always count on me to bring wine for the holidays. This year, I’m bringing Wente Vineyards wine to all of my festive functions. Majority of my happiest moments involve bonding over food and wine, and this year is no different.
Since I rarely get to go back home to Atlanta for the holidays, it’s important to me that I’m a gracious guest at all of my extended families homes. It’s hard deciding on what to bring to Friendsgiving or an intimate gathering around Christmas or Hanukkah. Thankfully, Wente Vineyards has a wine selection for everyone.
No wine is complete without a decadent charcuterie tray. Take your favorite fruits (grapes, strawberries, or even dried fruits), cheeses (brie and gouda are my fave), nuts (whole almonds are great), water crackers, and meats (optional), and arrange them on a cutting board. You can always add your special touches and fun foods that you know others will love. There are no rules! You can pair snacks like prosciutto with a Cabernet Sauvignon or Pinot Noir. Sip Chardonnay with lighter fare, like grapes and brie.
I’ve been really into Pinot Noir lately. The Riva Ranch Pinot Noir by Wente wines is bright, fruity red that pairs well with holiday ham or desserts like pumpkin pie.
And my holiday gift to you is 25% off of single vineyard or estate grown wines online by entering 25TOAST at checkout. Whether you’re the hostess with the mostess or the best attendee, win the holidays with Wente Vineyards!
