Happy New Year! (Is it still appropriate to say that after the first week of January?). One of my resolutions, among a long grocery list of things, is to up my beauty regimen. I don’t necessarily need to have a full beat face everyday, but I am making it my goal to learn how to do a basic smokey eye at the very least. I also want to dive into the world of flash lashes. I still consider myself a newbie to the faux lash game. I’ve worn them a few times, particularly on nights out with my bestie in Miami, and I must say I do love the look of perfectly wispy lashes.
Who knew there were so many different types of lashes?! I’ve played around with disposables from the drugstore while I’m still learning (and failing) to apply them. But I am loving the luxe 3D Mink lashes from Private Label Extensions. These comfortable falsies are 100% Mink and 100% hand crafted double layered. The natural color helps them look more like you grew them yourself and they are reusable up to 25 times.
A few tips I have learned so far with applying false lashes:
- Make sure you read the ingredients on lash glue. I am allergic to latex, a main ingredient in most lash glues. Had I not paid attention to this, my eyes and skin would be in serious trouble. Of course the latex makes the lashes stay on better but do not risk beauty for health.
- Apply lashes with lash tweezers. The tweezers are plastic and you can find them in lash sets usually. I find they help apply them better than regular tweezers or just using your fingers.
- Line your bottom water line with brown eyeliner. It will make your eyes pop and make the false lashes appear more natural, as the thickness of the lashes is more balanced out with boldness on the bottom.
