I had no intention of leaving the house Sunday. Yes, it was a beautiful day but I desperately needed rest. But a good friend of mine hit me up to go shopping and brunch*. I can’t turn down mimosas, so I quickly dressed and headed out.
We headed downtown to Créma, located in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan on 17th street. On weekends they have a brunch special – $23.95 for an entree and unlimited mimosas. We both decided on the breakfast quesadilla and we weren’t disappointed. But then again you can never go wrong with Mexican.
After brunch we stopped by Housing Works, a thrift shop also on 17th street, where I scored this amazing embroidered pillow. And right across the street was pippin Vintage Jewelers – there I picked up this black flat-studded ring. Somehow my friend’s shopping trip was turning into my excursion.
Then we headed to SoHo. I scored the crop top for just $10 at Urban Outfitters and the elephant ring for $16.
A full belly and some cheap thrills – needless to say, my Sunday was well spent.
*Yes we were aware it was Mother’s Day but both of us live 900+ miles away from our parents.
