We all need mood boosters every now and then. Whether you seek something material or seek a piece of mind, these five little luxuries allow you to treat yo’self and get instant gratification.
When you can’t afford a vacation, or simply don’t have the time, a staycation is a quick and easy getaway. It doesn’t have to be at the most expensive hotel in your city – a bed and breakfast or boutique hotel are unique alternatives and more cost effective.
Some of my favorite sites for hotels are Hotel Tonight, Tablet Hotels, and Travelzoo.

Send Yourself (Or a Loved One) Flowers
I can’t think of time when I’ve hated receiving flowers because even the least “girly” women appreciate receiving a bouquet of flowers. They’re beautiful, pleasantly fragrant, and spruce up your living space and mood. One of my favorite sites to order flowers from is FTD. They offer a huge selection of bouquets at all price ranges and occasions. They also offer same-day delivery for an instant mood booster.
Sending flowers to the special woman in your life can also make you feel cheery. FTD offers artistic bouquets for their #ILookToHer campaign dedicated to the strong, powerful, and loved women in your life.

Create a Detox/Spa Day At Home
Steam your face, do a mask, shape your nails, sip on detox tea, light a candle and sure enough you’ll have a mini spa right in your room. Not into the DIY method? Skip Starbucks for a week and treat yourself to a mani-pedi instead.
Buy a Designer Perfume and New Lingerie
Why are designer perfumes and colognes so popular? Because it’s a little way to incorporate Chanel into your life without shelling out thousands on a Boy Bag. If you buy your fragrance from Sephora or any department store, you’ll always get extra free samples and gift with purchases so it’s a win-win.
For lingerie, skip Victoria’s Secrets and get a stand-out (and better fitting) pair of knickers from shops like L’Agent or Journelle. Despite being bundled up in cozy sweaters, it’s nice to feel sultry underneath.
