Summer is not over people! Have you felt the temps lately? Still time to get it in with some summer-inspired cocktails for the next few weeks. I hated mango-flavored anything (including the actual fruit) until recently but then I saw the light. But it truthfully is the perfect fruit to blend in cocktails.
Speaking of cocktails – did you know that margaritas are the #1 cocktail in the United States, with 70% of them made from scratch in our very own homes? Adding to that statistic, I have a bomb recipe you can make right in the comfort of your own home using just a few ingredients with Agavero Orange Liqueur and Gran Centenario Plata as the stars of the show.
Agavero Orange Liqueur is a blend of 100% blue agave tequila, infused with the essence of oranges and pure agave nectar. It’s the absolute perfect addition to any margarita. The orange flavor compliments mango and other fruity flavors. Add a little Gran Centenario Plata to the mix, it’s a win-win.
I’ve created this super easy cocktail recipe that everyone will enjoy and can be whipped up in just five minutes! Taco Tuesday, backyard BBQs, or just Girl’s Night In, my Chily Chilly Mango cocktail is a must for any occasion. Not into mango? Two other recipes featuring Agavero Orange Liqueur and Gran Centenario Plata are detailed below.
Chilly Chilly Mango
1/2 cup Gran Centenario Plata
1/4 cup Agavero Orange Liqueur
1/2 fresh lime, squeezed
1 1/2 cups of frozen mango chunks
1 cup of ice
1 tbsp of agave nectar (optional)
Combine all ingredients into blender. Blend until there are no chunks. Pour into margarita glass garnished with chili powder and a wedge of lime. Enjoy!
1.5 parts Gran Centenario Plata
.75 parts Agavero Orange Liqueur
.75 parts Lime Juice
.5 parts Simple Syrup
5 White Grapes
Pinch Sea Salt
Garnish: Lime Wheel & 1 White Grape
Glass: Margarita Glass
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker & muddle. Add ice and shake vigorously. Strain contents of tin into a Margarita Glass. Garnish with Lime Wheel & 1 White Grape.
1.5 parts Gran Centanario Reposado
.75 parts Agavero Orange Liqueur
.75 parts Lime Juice
.5 parts Grapefruit Juice
.5 parts Honey Syrup (2 honey to 1 water)
1 dash Absinthe
Garnish: Mint Sprig & Lime
Glass: Tiki Mug
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a Tiki Mug over fresh ice. Garnish with Mint Sprig & Lime.
